´╗┐Lenovo B460 Schematic Diagram - Which Part of the Brain Is Situated at Point 4 in the Diagram? ? Typically people know the location of the areas of the brain that are used for specific functions but not the place of the other parts. The use of every part of the brain differs based upon the person. The structure of the brain is an indication of that part of the mind is responsible for which function. Gyrus - The largest area of the brain and is responsible for motor function, vision and language. It is the component of the brain that processes the visual information which you see when you open your mind. The gyrus also processes that the words you hear. The gyrus also plays a role in language as it's the section of the mind that understands the significance of words. Thalamus - This part of the brain has three major parts. 1 part is the bulb that is found behind the eyes and is responsible for vision. Another two chief parts are the thalamus as well as the corpus callosum. The thalamus connects the left and right hemispheres of their brain and can also be where the cerebrum which controls muscle movement connects with the cerebellum, which controls the motor control of the body. The parietal lobes are responsible for the recognition of voice, face and motion. If you should look at somebody and turn a light around to illuminate their face you would visit their eyes, mouth and the form of their face. When a person is faced with a particular situation they activate the parietal lobes. Temporal Lobes - The temporal lobes are responsible for recognizing, naming and remembering faces. The temporal lobes are also responsible for hearing and recognizing sound. If you turned to your television to see a movie and the picture went out there would be a possibility that you missed seeing some thing. Globus Pallidus - The globus pallidus is a portion of the brain which contains two parts. The most well-known region of the globus pallidus is that the amygdala, which controls emotions and memories. Another area of the globus pallidus is the thalamus, which can be located near the base of the skull. Occipital Lobes - This component of the brain is situated just over the eyes and is responsible for movement, eyesight and having the ability to distinguish color. The parietal lobes contain the place we use to discover color. The occipital lobes can be seen whenever someone looks up and looks down and it allows them to have the ability to focus and point. Parietal Cortex - The region of the brain that is responsible for facial recognition is that the parietal cortex. It's the component of the brain that controls facial recognition. The part of the brain which controls our sense of touch would be the somatosensory cortex.
